Configuring a cloud source in Scope is a two-step process.
Generating Cisco Meraki API credentials in the Cisco Meraki Dashboard. Please refer to Section 1 – Cisco Meraki Setup
Setting up the Cisco Meraki cloud source in the Scope application. Please refer to Section 2 – Scope Setup
To get started, you’ll need to generate the following client credentials in the Cisco Meraki Dashboard –
Log into the Cisco Meraki Dashboard.
Navigate to Side menu -> API & Webhooks and select the API keys and access tab.
Click on the Generate API Key button.
An API Key is generated. This API key will be associated with the dashboard administrator account that generates it and will inherit the same permissions as that account.

The generated API Key and appropriate Base URL are to be configured in Scope Setup: Step 1 for initiating the Cisco Meraki log ingestion.
Once the credentials are generated, they must be configured in the Scope application to establish the connection and enable data ingestion from the Cisco Meraki environment.
In the Scope application, to register a Cisco Meraki cloud source, navigate to the cloud source registration page –
Log into the Scope application
Select the required organization
Navigate to the Side menu -> Administration
Navigate to the Cloud sources tab
Click on the +Add Source button
In the Add Source pop-up, provide the parameters below.
Base URL: Select the appropriate Base URL from the dropdown [as determined in [Step 2]].
API Key: The API Key generated in Step 1.
Polling Interval: The polling interval for making periodic API calls to the Cisco Meraki server. The user can select the time interval from the dropdown.
Contact Email: The email address of the person who registers the Cisco Meraki cloud source in Scope.
Category: Select the log types from the dropdown. By default, all supported log types are selected. Based on the selection of the log type, the APIs will request the Cisco Meraki API service, and the respective types of logs will be ingested.

Once the required connection parameters are entered, the Cisco Meraki cloud source registration is complete in Scope and is ready for ingestion of Cisco Meraki logs.
