The Pondurance network sensor software can be run on bare metal or virtualized. Cloud network sensors is currently not fully supported, but is being actively developed to be supported in the near future. The first step you will need to determine is the size of appliance you will need for each segment of your network.

The requirements are slightly different for virtualized sensors. You will need to configure and present a nic for each segment of your network that's being spanned/mirrored.
